The New Silver Palace is located in the centre of the Historical Market Town of Hexham, on Market Street. Hexham over looks the River Tyne, and is easily accessible from both Newcastle Upon Tyne and Carlise via the A69.

Hexham has long been a market town and every Tuesday a market is held with stalls selling a variety of products and fresh produce. In addition the Farmers Market takes place twice monthly on Saturdays and has proven to be very popular.

Within  the   centre  of

Hexham  are  historical

attractions such as the Hexham Abbey that dates to the 7th Century, the 14th centry Old Goal Museum which was the first recorded purpose built prison, and the 15th century Moot Hall which was used to hold court, and which now exhibits art, all distinctively making up the skyline of Hexham.

The Sele is one of Hexham's most popular parks, playing host to the Hexham Carnival in the summer, as well as the Selefest, an event into its 5th year featuring live bands, skating and much more. There is also the Tyne Green Golf Course by the River Tyne where many people take time out to enjoy a walk, jog or cycle. There are also facilities for families to enjoy picnics and barbecues including an enclosed children's assault course and swings where they can play safely away from traffic.

Other amenities include the Queens Hall Art Centre, the Forum Cinema and the new Hexham Swimming Baths next to the Wentworth Leisure Centre. There are also many cafes, restaurants, pubs and take aways, all opening at different times of the day, some as early as 8am and some closing as late as 2am.

Most of all Hexham is a welcoming Tourist Town and a pleasurable experience offering something for everyone.
